Creamy smoky ziti

In a large pan of boiling salted water cook the pasta for 5 minutes. Add the asparagus pieces to the pan and cook until pasta is tender and asparagus are crisp-tender, about 4 minutes. Drain, keep a cup of the cooking fluid.

In a large frying pan saute the garlic for about 30 seconds, add the pasta, asparagus, salt pepper and some of the fluid (I did not use all of the fluid, just watch it carefully you don’t want your pasta swimming in water. Add the basil, the cheese and the prosciutto. Toss and season to taste.
