Bake the onion with the garlic on medium heat for about 8 minutes.
Add the carrots and celery, bake for another 5 minutes.
Increase to high heat and add the beef, break it up while baking.
When meat is brown add the tomatoes and other ingredients.
Cook for another 30 minutes till the sauce has thickened.
Serve over hot pasta.
